Sea kayaking is the core of what the Falmouth Canoe Club is about. There are spectacular locations to explore with caves, rock features, estuaries and sunny beaches. We are fortunate in Falmouth as we have access to two great estuaries – Carrick Roads and the Helford River. One is north-south the other is east-west, so we can usually find something to do in any wind condition. And of course we have the legendary north coast of Cornwall with the expanse of Perranporth Beach and the caves of Bedruthan Steps.
There are side creeks worthy of exploration like Frenchman’s Creek or the Percuil river.
Some of our trips are leisurely explorations of coves and rock hopping, others are longer trips over the horizon, and we have even longer trips with overnight stays in beautiful wild camp sites.
